These are the core makeup, skincare and other essentials I recommend when starting out in your makeup journey.

Shadow Sticks - I love the Julep Cream Eyeshadow Stick the variety of colors that are offered but I suggest start with the shimmer ones as blending them is easier.

Laura Mercier was the OG in shadow sticks and still great.

Another one that I have been enjoying is the L Oreal Shadow Stick . I like to stick with colors like mauve and mink and champagne for cooler skin tones, and rose gold, bronze, and honey tones for warmer skin tones in the beginning.

Mob beauty cream eyeshadows are not in stick form but have beautiful and unusual colors. A point to note, these do tend to crease a little but you can set them with translucent powder. If you have oily lids, these will mostly crease so stick to the other brands

Eye Pencil - L Oreal Pencil Liner and Urban Decay Eyeliner Pencil are safe for the waterline. everybody needs a black or atleast a dark brown pencil!

Liquid Eyeliner - I usually don't recommend these to beginners but if you want to, try this Stila Fine Tip one with a tiny brush

Eyeliner pencil - Same for this category, the Revlon pencil has a fine tip which makes it easier to use.

MascaraMaybelline The Falsies

L Oreal Voluminous Panorama a black is staple.

Correctors - Natasha Denona and Nars are great for a fuller coverage or for someone with deeper under eye circles and Caliray  for someone who prefers a lighter coverage brightener that doesn't need a lot of concealer.

Concealers - Natasha Denona and Nars Radiant Creamy are great for the undereye and Nars Soft Matte is Perfect for concealing blemishes and redness on the face

Liquid / Cream blush

I love the Laura Gellar liquid blush because it's a lightweight one where it still looks like the glow is from within the skin.

Milk Blush are great for travel and I love that it's not too  shiny.

Nudestix have the advantage of the brush on the other side, make sure the brush is cleaned regularly too.

Lipsticks and Stains

Tip: Cream blushes can be used on the lips and Lipsticks and stains can be used as blush.

Lip Liners

Makeup Setting Spray Not so important for minimal makeup but is a great help to reduce creasing and set your makeup that you want to make it last.

If you have oily skin this Hypochlorous Spray is great to keep the bacteria at bay

Wash Cloths

I like this Micro fiber one to use to remove makeup and keep one by me while I'm doing makeup to wipe my brush, hands etc. I also tend to use these Cotton Washcloths for the days my skin has dry patches and flaky skin.

Cleansing oil - With makeup and Sunscreen, it is important to double cleanse. this particular one, I found doesn't burn the eyes and effectively removes all makeup.

Bioderma Micellar Water is a great product to have to use as a corrector while doing makeup and for the days you just have

Sunscreen - I recommend these because apart from feeling comfortable on the skin, they also do well under makeup

Brush Cleanser is great for to clean off cream products from your brushes, you can then use the brush but make sure its completely dry before using.

Brush Soap because its extremely important to keep your brushes sanitized to avoid skin issues over time.

Brushes even though I teach my Simple Beauty Basics Lesson without brushes, it is important to have good quality brushes when you are ready to take your makeup journey to the next level. these are my favorites
